[VIDEO]: JoJo Pays Homage To Aaliyah!

I freakin’ JoJo and I can’t get enough of her dope covers and how she is able to channel each artist's song yet making it her own.
While performing at Hard Rock Café in Detroit, she was on a roll, singing favs from Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, Rihanna and many others.
And her is some more footage as she performed a her acoustic rendition of “Are You That Somebody” and “One In a Million” by the late Aaliyah! Loved how she payed her respect noting that she was a huge Aaliyah fan and thanked her for pathing the way for artist such as herself.
Check out Jojo’s Aaliyah tribute at the 11:07 mark.

6th Annual Jazz in the Gardens Festival 2011 - Day 2

Musiq Soulchild opened up the Day 2 events off very nicely. I was truly impressed by his live vocal ability and interaction with the crowd. I was tickled that he was so tiny... but he has a such an incredible strong and powerful voice. He sang hits as "Just Friends" to "Love" and closing with his new single "Anything" ... great performance! Very humble and down to earth guy!

En Vogue truly showed out! They warmed the crowd up with a melody of various old school R&B hits. And of course performing their own hits such as "My Lovin (Never Gonna Get It)", "Free Your Mind", "Don't Let Go" and they showed off their rapping skills while performing "Whatta Man". These ladies didn't miss a beat, they definitely still have it!!

Being able to interview En Vogue was indeed exciting and they were extremely inviting and sweet. Being in the presence of true divas was absolutely amazing!!

I am smiling so hard in this pic!! LOL
