We Salute: Raven Symone - A Woman of Integrity

On this wonderful Friday, we must to pay homage to none other than the beautiful Raven Symone. At the young age of 26 years old, America has watched her blossom from a cute little three-year-old into a now very classy woman.

She launched her career in 1989 as Olivia on The Cosby Show as Olivia. Then later showed off her acting chops in Hanging With Mr. Cooper, That's So Raven Dr. Dolittle, Dr. Dolittle 2, College Road Trip, The Cheetah Girls and more.

Unlike many child stars, Raven has managed to stay "scandal free" and keep the media out of her personal life. You'll never hear about who she is dating or see any pictures or videos of her in compromising positions.

She credits her success to her family and spiritual upbringing and for that very reason she is worth $45 Million and earned $35,000 per episode from Disney for her hit show That's So Raven! *balllinnngg

We Salute Ms. Raven Symone for staying true to her self, never compromising her morals, being a woman of integrity which has lead her to be a successful actress, singer, songwriter, comedian, dancer, television producer and model.

Now ladies she is indeed a role model. Let's all follow her lead :)

We Salute: Don Cornelius (RIP)

Yesterday marked the first day of Black History Month and it was indeed unsettling to find out that thee Donald Cortez "Don" Corneliusshow host and producer of the nationally syndicated dance/music Soul Train, was found dead in his home yesterday morning.

Rather than focus on his alleged suicide death we would like to pay homage to his 35 year run on Soul Train in which he was able to help shape careers, start trends and be a legend in his own right. Before there was Bet and MTV, there was Soul Train was the show that honored the top performances in R&B, hip-hop, gospel and jazz and showcased dances and clothing styles that were popular in the young african american community.

Don Cornelius was such a smooth brother and had a deep soothing voice that captivated audienceS. He will forever be remembered for "Love Peace & Soul" and the infamous "Soul Train Line", in which people would line up on seperate sides faces each other and one or more people would come down the middle doing a catchy dance.

**Does the cabbage patch and the Roger Rabbit in Honor of Don Cornelius and Soul Train**

WE SALUTE: DON CORNELIUS

We Salute: Mona Scott-Young

Today marks the first official day of Black History Month! Though I will be forever grateful for the many pioneers who shed blood, sweat and tears fighting for equality and justice. However for the next 28 days I will pay-homage to the men and women of today who are living out Martin's dream and Sojourner Truth's mission.

So today I celebrate Mona Scott-Young a wife, mother, entrepreneur, mentor and the owner of Monami Entertainment. She is the former co-owner and president of Violator Management and has helped launch the careers of Missy Elliott, 50 Cent and Busta Rhymes and managed the careers of LL Cool J and Fantasia.
After putting 18 years of hard work into Violator Management, Scott decided to follow her dream and start on her business, Monami Entertainment, which is media company that tackles artist management, brand development and much more.

Today, Mona Scott Young is the Executive Producer of Vh1's Love & Hip Hop reality TV series, noting the idea coming from her client Jim Jones after seeing his dysfunctional relationship with his long-time girlfriend Chrissy. This season she also introduced her men-tee Yandy Smith, who is also the project manager at Monami Entertainment.

WE SALUTE MONA SCOTT-YOUNG!
