FACEBOOK EXPANDS RELATIONSHIP STATUS!!!!

So here you have it Facebook expands relationship statuses to appease those who are gay and lesbian. Not everyone is going to be pleased about this but so what I am all for it! I applaud Facebook for acknowledging and recognizing the need to expand the available relationship options for those who live an *alternate* lifestyle ... Kudos =)

So now I'm waiting on Facebook to expand to this:

"In a relationship w/ ____ while cheating w/ ____ while having sex w/ ____ while telling I love u to ____and bout to have a baby with ____"

now that would be interesting ........LOL

Who ever said that Hip Hop couldn’t look good? Well I am pleased to say that Adrian Durell is definitely a sexy, fresh and much needed energy and piece of eye candy. But don’t be fool or misconstrued by his laid-back demeanor and cute face… Adrian Durell is absolutely bringing back the essence and meaning of a true lyrist in this game we call “Hip Hop”.

Born and raised in Cali but he later moved to NC where his love and passion for Hip Hop intensified. I like to refer to his style as “Cali South Swag” which is apparent in his tone, to the chuck taylors on his feet. But his talent is raw which is evident by the heavy influence of southern rap.

And I am here to tell you that his word play is sick. He is the current reining freestyle champ in his hometown of Greensboro, NC where he has battled over 20+ mc's effortlessly over the past four months, holding down his position as king. (Click To Watch Battle)

His movement in which he calls “Elevator Music” has created a buzz and everyone is wanting to become affiliated with AD…. so yeah he is dope …. and “Elevator Music” is coasting to the top….so hold on tight .... there is no cruise control...Are you ready??

Who is Esperanza Spalding???!

After watching the highly anticipated 53^rd Annual Grammy Awards that premiered this past Sunday, over all I wasn’t 100% impressed. However I did enjoy a few of the performances with B.O.B and Janelle Monae’s performance being my favorite. Meanwhile there were a lot of interesting, awkward, funny and odd things that took place.

But I, including most viewers at home, were completely shocked and confused at the unknown female who walked so casually to the podium to receive the most highly anticipated award of the night, for Best New Artist. Esperanza Spalding Who?? … As beautiful as can be, I clearly had no idea of exactly who Esperanza Spalding was. Nevertheless it was fair to assume that she had to indeed be great, after all she clearly beat out Drake and Justin Beiber.

And at that very moment the uproar and hate began. Crazed Bieber fans became outraged and started attacking poor Esperanza via Twitter, Facebook and any social media site that they could verbally abuse her with negative and hate messages. So it dawned on me that I must know who she is. So after some further research, I am pleasantly pleased to say that Ms. Esperanza Spalding is truly a gift from God. Her angelic voice is pure and her raw talent is incomparable. Spalding’s music exudes quality and the true essence of creativity and originality.

She is a 26-year-old very popular jazz singer from Portland, Oregon who plays the bass violin and is a self-taught pianist. She has even performed for the Obama’s at the White House and was asked specifically by Prince to perform in his honor. Wow, she is obviously no amateur and she has worked very hard and diligently and is quite deserving of this award.

So in closing, I love good music. And honestly I am not always impressed by what is on the radio and the "who’s who crowd" in the entertainment industry. So congratulations to Ms. Esperanza Spalding for her beautiful music, warm spirit and positive energy. With her surprising win, I hope that people will open up their eyes and ears and begin to broaden their horizons of music and explore other genres.
